In all that you will read on the security threats that are out there, there is a simple solution. There are three very important software that you can download for free that can help you with your security: Firewall: ZoneAlam at http://www.zonelabs.com, Antivirus: AVG at http://www.grisoft.com, and Spyware remover: http://www.safer-networking.org/. Microsoft faces another antitrust suit - Computerworld

Microsoft faces another antitrust suit - Computerworld

This is why I believe that Open Source Operating Systems like Linux is so popular. Microsoft is being a big pain in just about every concept that deals with computers. Microsoft constanly have security issues. When Microsoft updates secuirity patches, they either do not work or they cause more security problems. With others systems, they immediately fix the problem and that is the end of it.

For example, when firfox browser was told that they had a surcurity issue, theny immediately had another verson to deal with the security threat. This threat is no longer a problem. It did not take them long to have a new browser to fix the problem.

Another problem with Microsoft is that they charge high prices for their software. They think that they are the best if they charge their high prices. I am using an office suite that not only can read all of Microsoft Office documents, but can also create them. This office suite is open source and is completely free. It is called "Open Office." It can be downloaded at http://www.openoffice.org. This office suite works even better then MS Office.

How ever one can look at it, there is something out there that is better then Microsoft Operating system or any software that Microsoft can create. This alone is hurting Microsoft more then anything they can do to themselves. I believe that the reason for the fast growing open source market is due to the fustration of what Microsoft does to their customers. I cannot say that open source started due to the fustration of Microsoft, but it is now built on the idea that WE THE CUSTOMER will not accept Microsoft taking over our way of life.

Schools pilot standardized test for IT literacy - Computerworld

Schools pilot standardized test for IT literacy - Computerworld

This article shows that the communication on the Internet is very important. How is that? What makes communicasting over the Intnernet so important? First of all communication is growing as fast as the computer field is growing. I can remember with the Commodore 64 computers there was BBS (Bulletin Boards). Now there are emails, Instant Messaging (IM), chat rooms, Internet groups, Blogging, etc.

Blogging is the most used form of communication there is today. A lot has changed since blogging first started. Now blogging is growing as fast as eating cotton candy. What will be next? That is why it is a very good thing that students in schools learn about the ins and outs of I.T. (Information Technology literacy).

Blogging is so big that businesses uses it. All sorts fo news websites have blogs. If one looks back into history about when the telephone was invented to how we are communicating now, how quickly we have grown in the communication world would be very much astounding.

Things are moving and growing so fast that we must keep up with the computer technology. For me I use RSS Live feeds to keep up withe the fast growing information age. Computers are more the just for playing games and runing software. We use them to communicate with each other. Computer technology is here to stay and we are responsible to keep up with it in our daily lives.

KSBY - Local teen writes perfect SAT essay

KSBY - Local teen writes perfect SAT essay

I strongly believe that every child in the United States of America can be this smart. It simply takes the instructor to teach on the level of the child. I think that major promblem in public/private schools is that the system teaches on one level. Everyone is different and that makes it very hard for all the students. This slows down the educaiton process more then it helps the students that have a hard time in learning. The reason for them having a hard time is simple. They are not taught on their level and understanding.

In homeschool, the parents teach their children on a one to one basis. This allows the child to learn more then in a public/private school. It is true that a good many parents do not have the capabilities to teach their children enough to reach all education standards. In this I strongly believe that if parents teach their children homeschool while they are going to a public/private school, the child can learn a lot more then either one of the educaiton systems. In turn the child will learn what he/she needs to learn and they can learn on their level with the parents or whomever is helping them at home.

Remember the major goal is for children to learn all they can in K-12. When these chidlren go for post secondary educaiton, they will be able to reach the sky in what they can do with their lives. That is what education is all about. Knowledge is power and that is what will make a nation great!

FOXNews.com - Views News - ifeminists - Sexual Harassment Policies Need Reform

FOXNews.com - Views News - ifeminists - Sexual Harassment Policies Need Reform

At first glance of this article, one might think that the Mass. school system lost all their brians. It might be the case. On the other hand, I wonder if the information has been viewed properly. The article has not stated what really happened. It states a few things, but what really happened? As time goes by we might learn more about this case.

If what is said is 100% the truth, then what is really going on in the school system not only on the state of Massachusetts, but other school throughout the country. Is this action that this one child did a results of parents not teaching their children about the human body to their children? Even though children does not know anything about sexual immorality, why did this child do this act? There might not be anything wrong with touching others, but why did this child touch another in this way?

These questions and others that we do not know about in this case needs to be answered if this type of action needs to be controlled and dealt with. If parents does not teach their children about the human body to their children, what will happen next? Knowledge is power. Only knowledge can resolve any issues in life.

This is why I will always use Firefox browser. IE cannot hold out under the fast growing technology of the Internet. IE7 might have tabs within, but it also is still the same IE that we all know about. That is why so many are using Firefox.

The only good thing I can say about this article is that if Hillary Clinton keeps shooting off her mouth, then she will not be re-elected. If that happens then we will not be hearing her again.

WorldNetDaily: When homeschoolers grow up

WorldNetDaily: When homeschoolers grow up

From reading this article, it seems that public education is not working as well as home school. It seems to me by this article that parents needs to home school their children while they are going to a public school. This would be the best way to teach children about working together. Home school alone does not really teach about team work unless the parents have a great number of children.

In any job the understanding of teamwork is very important. Working with others is not an easy task. In public school the students learn to work with outhers not just in the classrooms, but outside the classroom. The big issues with public school is that they do not teach properly. This is where both public schools and home schools can work together as one.

It is a amazing to me that the two worse troublesome companies on the Internet can constantly cause problems for their costomers. I do not understand how these two companies are still holding their heads up in the technology world. One day they may wake up and see what their customers really want and do the right thing.

GAO: Secure Flight antiterror program violates privacy laws - Computerworld

GAO: Secure Flight antiterror program violates privacy laws - Computerworld

People have been saying over and over that we have not been attacked in 4 to 5 years. From so many people making a giant issue over security in relationship of our privacy, no one does not need to attack us. We are doing it ourselves. It is so STUPID that we are making this sort of a fuss over this issue. I respest my privacy, but if security needs to patt me down in the the name of September 11, 2001, what is the issue of my privacy?

I rather some security organization to do their jobs correctly, then to have something blow up in my face or anyone elses. That would be a violation of privacy. So every baby in the USA, grow the FUCK UP!!

Schools pilot standardized test for IT literacy - Computerworld

How true this arcticle is showing. The technology world is growing faster then any of us can see and understand. School should start teaching it in just about all aspects of education. When new teachers are coming into play, they need to have the proper computer skills so their students can learn from it. Computers are here to stay and again they are growing at alarming rates.

Blogs and RSS Live Feeds are the news aspects of the fast growing technology. What will happen next will be exciting to see. Before they come into play, we need to understand and know how to use what we have now. A lot of the new things that comes into our world is a addition or improvement of what we have now. Kowledge is power and that knowledge needs to be taught in schools.

Why Johnny (Still) Can't Read

Why Johnny (Still) Can't Read

This is a very interesting article. Why cannot children that graduates from highschool cannot read? What are schools teaching? What are parents teaching their children? These questions have been asked and been told on the news since I have been in high school. Nothing is being done about it. All talk and no action is being done.

For some parents, home school is being presented to their children. Home school may not answer all types of educational needs to children, but it is right now the only thing that has shown positive aspects to most of the educational needs. What has public or private education has shown in the past ten years?

We all need to stop talking and do action. The Department of Education needs to start putting the future of children first instead of political junk that has been going on.

Spunky Homeschool

Spunky Homeschool

I think that all government that deals with the Department of Educaiton needs to read this blog posting. To teach, it takes dedication. In the time I was going to school (K-12), I did not see to many that had this type of dedication as this parent is showing in this blog posting. Education is ever so important for everyone, children and adults alike.

Read Your Television

Read Your Television

I completely agree with this article. In any thing, one can turn someting to an advantage. Parents can turn any televison show by asking their chirldren to examine the story itself (the plot). What is the story trying to tell? Is there any secret concept that they writer of the story is trying to present? When children look at a televison show in this manner, they can learn how to express themselves. Every novel that is written was done my a writer that knows how to express him or herself.

No one is born a writer. They must learn a great deal of the world around them. One might be surprised in how much research is done on writing a movel of any genre. How else would an author make the story so real and exciting.

Blog On

Blog On

To my understanding of the Intenet, this is the main reason for having the Internet in the first place, to communicate. Blogging may not be completely accurate with its information, but blogging is not meant to be a communication of simple facts. It may represent the facts in a new light that one may not be able to get from a book or a classroom. Blogging is a means of communicating ideas and understanding of those ideas.

The Internet is here to stay. We must start living within the frame work of the fast and growing structure that the Inernet has to offer. Many, many people, organization, and even politics has used blogs to express their ideas and concepts. We should all do the same, if we want our own ideas to be recognized.

To bring the United States of America in a forward position, we need not to pass the buck to others. We need to blame ourselves for our own faults. It is up to us to make ourselves prosperous. We also need to act as a united country. After all, this county is called the United States of America. It will take all of us to put this great country of ours in the right direction. This will take team work.

We can no longer blame anyone in government for our faults. The preable of the Constitution of the United States declares: "WE THE PEOPLE of the United States. . ." It is that "WE" that will have to change what needs to be changed in order for our great country to prosper once again.
